![]() ![]() If you're looking to change the voltage on your device, you should start off at -25mv, run a stress test (something like a 3D game or Antutu Benchmark if that takes too long), and then continue on if you want to. if you have a 0, you're pretty much shit out of luck. also, the higher your CPU binning, the more leeway you'll have with playing around with kernel settings. however, on the other hand, since you're not using as much power as stock settings, you're saving a couple percentages worth of battery and helping prolong long-term battery life. i'm not saying that you'll crash every 10 minutes, but if you do undervolt too much, you'll start to see force closes and reboots. Keeping voltage at stock will grant you to the most stability. too long, didn't google: undervolting helps with battery savings and overvolting helps with overclocking whilst both can pose issues with stability and/or long-term battery harm (overvolting). in Trickster, you can change voltage in the "Specific" tab.īefore you go off changing voltages, you should read up on the effects of undervolting and overvolting on Android devices. using this, you can gauge how far from factory settings you can undervolt using a kernel manager like Trickster Mod. The first column is the cpu clock setting and the second column is the factory default voltage. overclocking also has to do with your PVS value but i'm not as comfortable talking clock frequencies so someone else can make a thread about that. i'll talk a bit about undervolting using it. Imoseyon, developer of leanKernel, posted the stock frequency/voltage table over on XDA. So a couple of days ago, we had a thread concerning CPU binning and people were wondering what exactly is the point of their PVS value (0-15) regarding voltage. ![]() this is also possible to do with encryption enabled. First and foremost, this requires root and a custom kernel of your choice. ![]()
